What is FlashFunds about?
FlashFunds is a platform for small, time-limited crowdfunding projects. Creators can launch a campaign to get quick support, and backers can help them reach their goal in just a few days.
In which countries can creators receive funds?

Creators can receive funds in countries supported by Stripe for payouts. This eligibility is verified in real-time during creator onboarding.

How long does a campaign last?
Campaigns are designed to be fast and focused, running for up to 7 days. In practice, the duration is 6 days and 23 hours. This small buffer makes sure all pledges are captured and processed securely before the 7-day mark.
What if the project doesn’t reach its goal?
FlashFunds operates on an all-or-nothing model. Funds are only released if the campaign reaches its funding goal before the deadline. If the goal is not met, backers are not charged and the campaign is simply closed.
What happens when my goal is reached?
If your campaign reaches its funding goal before the end date, it remains active until the scheduled deadline. This allows supporters additional time to contribute. The campaign automatically closes once the time limit ends.
How is the transaction handled?
When you pledge, your payment method is authorized but not charged immediately. If the project succeeds, Stripe captures the amount and transfers it to the creator. If not, the authorization is released.
Does the money go through FlashFunds?
No. FlashFunds never holds or transfers money. All transactions are processed directly by Stripe, a trusted global payment provider.
Why connect a Stripe account?
Stripe handles all payment processing, which means FlashFunds never stores sensitive financial information. This ensures safe transfers, faster payouts, and compliance with international regulations.
What information will Stripe ask during account setup?

To receive payouts, Stripe needs to verify your identity in line with local financial regulations. During onboarding, you’ll be asked to provide some basic personal or business information.

This usually includes your legal name, address, date of birth, and bank account details for payouts. In some cases, Stripe may request supporting documents such as:

  • A passport or national ID.
  • Proof of address.
  • Business registration documents (if applicable).

Make sure the information you provide matches your official documents to avoid verification delays.

What are the commissions?
